Remember the driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked charge?
Well, there's a bit more of the story to be told here. We were going to post each docket individually, but quite honestly it's probably easier to see the full history if we post the court summary. Seems like following laws are harder for some of us.
These laws do apply to everyone, right? I mean, maybe we could have overlooked the two charges in 2018. But then to have 2 other charges, and then decide to run for Mayor after clearly thinking you're above the law. Registering a vehicle, having a valid license and financial responsibility are things that help to protect other drivers. So are we to assume that our safety means nothing to her?
How are you going to uphold yourself in public office? Get pulled over and say, oh it's OK, I'm the Mayor?
Now, aren't you thinking, these can't be her only charges. They don't just revoke a license for nothing, right? Well, if you look in the right places, you'll find some records that are a bit older. Just because they're older, doesn't mean they aren't relevant.
It seems following the law isn't a new issue for Ms. Kinder. But, apparently looking into someone's history isn't a requirement to get on the ballot. It should however, be a reason to really consider the angle their trying to convey. Anyone can look good... if you're in the right light, with the right angle and the right people holding the mirrors of deflection.
Those running for public office should be model citizens, accountable for their actions, obey the laws, and pay their bad debts, preferably in a timely manner.
Wondering what we're talking about with bad debts? That's another topic for another day.
