CCU and VFM must have had a falling out, because CCU is still focused on money and VFM has abandoned that ship. Maybe there's trouble in paradise? Either way, here it is...
"Not everyone is in the business owner class". Did they forget?! Jaime is co-owner of A BUSINESS and Gretchen owns A BUSINESS! What the heck kind of political push is this? Did they really not read that before they posted?
In case you think we're wrong and they're not "in the business owner class", Vote for Meadville put out this little graphic.
Now that we've established that they're literally hating on their own candidates, let's focus on their focus.... money!
Remember if you will, we talked about the 17 year financial history of Jaime's. A quick recap;
2 homes deeded back in lieu of foreclosure
MASA lien against her
A judgement that she didn't pay, resulting in attachment to wages
A judgement she never repaid to her own sister
The current ongoing case with the co-owner of her business. The business she didn't invest a single penny into, but locked the other owner out of and changed passwords to accounts to prevent access.
There's so many things in her background, that we may have forgotten to include one in the recap. If you want to know, check prior blog posts and you'll find the answers.
Now, not only did we prove the items above, and prove the track record of financial irresponsibility. We now present you with sworn answers to interrogatories that the co-owner has presented to the court. Answers that allude to an even deeper history of financial irresponsibility.
Maybe Jaime should focus on her own financial matters and get those straight before she tries to take on a Cities finances? She can't even figure out why she needs to pay the other owner the $35,000 she was seeking for her half of the business.
Jaime is currently realizing benefit from someone else's expense.
Lastly, since it's been asked a few times, we'll present all that we have on the MASH track boosters case. The court released a document to us stating very simply, they provided goods and were not paid in full for said goods, so they wanted money due plus interest. The co-owner, Stacey, is the one who filed because Jaime was on the boosters at that time.
Evolution printing lost the case "due to her (Jaime) failure to adhere to legal requirements and established business practices ".
Apparently, Hal Tubbs knew what he was saying after all.
The other incidents before have been closed, meaning Jaime was in fact proven to have mismanaged her own finances causing the cases against her.
In the case of Jaime and the co-owner, Stacey, it is still in the works. However, Jaime has yet to buy out the other owner, and she has also locked her out of the business in its entirety.
She's done wrong by many people, including her own family, and has not held herself accountable to right her wrongs.
Ask yourself, if someone has a history of financial mismanagement and irresponsibility; what business do they have running a City?
For comparison on budgets:
The co-owner WAS seeking $35,000 for a buyout. The operating cost of the City for 2021; $10,055,777.
This is just the general fund, there are many parts to a City budget. The point being, it's a much larger responsibility to uphold a City budget. Is Jaime really the best one to lead the task?
Now, if you know all of this, and still want to vote Jaime for Mayor.... make sure you can live with the outcome. A $653,000 City budget deficit resulted in a tax increase.
You can't tax a City into prosperity.
